The Filipino cue artist got the better of American great Shane Van Boening, 13-8, in the final to go undefeated in the 128-man field and take home the $20,000 cash prize.

Chua was in peak form in the tournament, dominating Duoc Quong Hoang of Vietnam, 11-5, in the semifinals, and Wiktor Zielinski, 9-6, in the quarters.
He also dispatched Max Lechner of Austria, 9-5, in the Last 16; Walter Laikre of Sweden, 9-5, in the Last 32; Payne McBride of the USA, 9-7, Jani Siekkinen of Finland, 9-3, and Trung Le Quang of Vietnam, 9-7, in the winner's qualification.
