CHEZKA Centeno ruled the 2022 APF Asian Women's 9-Ball with an 11-7 win over Seo Seoa of Korea on Sunday at the Aspire Recreation Centre in Singapore.
Centeno bounced back after trailing 0-4 at the start of the match to take the Asian crown during the inaugural staging of the tournament.

The Zamboanga native also survived from a couple of misses late in the contest, but her lead was too much to overcome.
Centeno won the title by going through the losers’ bracket. After dropping a 7-6 decision against Jessica Tan of Singapore, Centeno earned a trip to the knockout phase with wins over Fathrah Masum of Indonesia, 7-1, and Lee Woojin of Korea, 7-3.

Centeno beat Suvene Ng of Singapore, 9-3, and defeated compatriot Rubilen Amit, 9-6, in the quarterfinals. She routed Bui Xuan Vang of Vietnam, 9-1, to clinch a berth in the finals.
Centeno also clinched a spot in the Predator World 10-Ball Championship in Austria in September by virtue of her title in the competition organized by the Asian Pool Federation.
The Philippines looks to make it a twin victory with James 'Dodong Diamond' Aranas pitted against Ko Pin Yi of Chinese Taipei in the men's final.
