CHEZKA Centeno made history on Sunday as she became only the second player to win the WPA Women’s World 10-Ball Championship multiple times.

The 26-year-old got the better of compatriot Rubilen Amit in an all-Filipina final, 4-1, 2-4, 4-2, 3-4, 4-2, as she lifted the trophy anew in Bali, Indonesia.

Centeno reclaimed the title she last won in 2023 -- and more importantly, joined Amit, who won in 2009 and 2013, as the only players to lift the hardware twice.

Amit actually was staging a comeback, rallying from a 0-2 deficit and got to within one, 2-3, after Centeno lost rack 5 after committing three fouls.

But a dry break in the next rack led to Centeno completing the runout as she secured the USD50,000 cash prize.

It was an amazing campaign for Centeno who fought from the losers' bracket and disposed reigning champion Kristina Tkach of Russia, 3-1, in the last 16; over Wang Wan-Ling of Taiwan, 3-2, in the quarterfinals; and a clinical 3-0 whitewash of Liu Shasha of China in the semis.
