CARLO Biado leads four Filipinos who made it to the final 16 of the World Pool Association (WPA) Players Championship in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Biado, Johann Chua, James Aranas and Raymond Faraon stayed in contention for the $10,000 (Around P510,000) top prize in the tournament sanctioned by the billiards world governing body WPA.
Biado beat Skylar Woodward of the United States, 7-5, to lead the charge, while Chua ousted Mika Immonen of Finland, 8-6.
Aranas beat Naoyuki Oi, 7-5, while Faraon defeated Corey Deuel of the United States, 7-3.
Biado will be playing Ching-Shun Yang of Chinese Taipei in the round-of-16, as Chua will battle Nick Malaj of Greece on Friday Manila time. Aranas will be taking on Yu-Lung Chang of Chinese Taipei, while Faraon will look to advance against Germany’s Ralf Soquet.
