CARLO Biado lost to Yu Hsuan Cheng in a nailbiter, 12-11, settling for second place in the WPA Players Championship in Doha.
Cheng took home the US$10,000 (around P516,000) top prize, recovering after losing the lag in the 23rd and final rack as the Taiwanese pool player sank the final three balls to capture the championship.
Biado settled for US$7,000 (around P357,000).
Cheng prevented an all-Filipino final after beating Johann Chua, 9-6, in the semifinals.
Biado defeated Yu-Lung Chang of Chinese Taipei, 9-6, in the other semifinal match.
