CARLO Biado continued his winning ways on Wednesday, beating Wu Jiaqing of China, 11-9, to advance to the quarterfinals of the 2018 World 9-Ball Championship in Doha, Qatar.
Biado, seeded third in the competition, won the final two racks of a closely contested match to stay on course for a title repeat.
The lone Filipino still in contention will next face Lin Wu Kun of Chinese Taipei, who beat Petri Makkonen of Finland, 11-6, in the round-of-16.
The Biado-Lin quarterfinal match is set late Wednesday evening.
In other results, Corey Deuel beat Pin Yi Ko, 11-9; Albin Ouschan won over Wiktor Zielinski, 11-8; and Alexandros Kazakis edged Neils Feijen, 11-10.
