EFREN “Bata” Reyes gets his wish as Carlo Biado has been named the first wildcard for Team Asia in the upcoming Reyes Cup.
Matchroom Pool announced the news on Wednesday.
Biado brings in a wealth of experience to Team Asia with the 2021 US Open Pool Champion joining fellow Filipino Johann Chua, Aloysius Yapp of Singapore, and Ko Pin Yi of Chinese Taipei in the squad.

“The Black Tiger” was one of the first few names mentioned by Reyes when he was announced as the captain for Team Asia.
Jayson Shaw, meanwhile, was announced as the first wildcard for Team Europe.
He will team up with Eklent Kaçi, Mickey Krause, and Joshua Filler with six-time Mosconi Cup champion Karl Boyes serving as team captain.
One more wildcard for each team will be announced soon.
The inaugural Reyes Cup will be held at Ninoy Aquino Stadium from October 15 to 18.
