CARLO Biado finished the year at No. 4 in the World Pool Association rankings after a runner-up finish in the World 9-Ball Championship.
From second place, Biado slipped two places after losing to Joshua Filler of Germany in the Doha final - the last WPA-sanctioned tournament of the year.
Nevertheless, Biado became the top Asian based on world rankings after Chang Jung-lin of Chinese Taipei fell from first to fifth.
Alexander Kazakis of Greece took over the No. 1 spot followed by Filler, whose victory over Biado in the final allowed him to jump from fourth to second.
