The three Filipino players eye a strong showing in the tournament organized by the Asian Pool Federation. Biado topped the 10-ball, Chua the 9-ball, while Amit bagged a golden double in the SEA Games last May.
Biado drew a first-round bye and will face the winner of the match between Shoman Tong of Singapore and Arun of Indonesia.
Rubilen Amit is among the favorites in the women's side.
Chua, on the other hand, will have a gruelling bracket as he will face Trung Tri Tran of Vietnam, the winner taking on 2021 US Open runner-up Aloysius Yapp of Singapore in the race-to-nine, alternate-break tournament format.
Amit will go up against Yu Anran of China to start off her campaign in the women’s side which also has an alternate-break format but in a race-to-seven.
Jeff De Luna, Demosthenes Pul-pul, Kyle Amoroto, Raymund Faraon, Assis Tadique, Nomer Meteoro, James Aranas, Lauro Bongay, and Anthony Raga are the other players in the men’s side.
Chezka Centeno and Geona Kristine Chua are the other Filipina bets.
