    Arvin Tolentino shows way as FEU Tamaraws get back on track with win over Adamson Falcons

    FAR Eastern University got back on winning track with a 72-53 victor over Adamson in the Filoil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup on Sunday in San Juan.

    The Tamaraws leaned on Arvin Tolentino to improve to a 5-1 win-loss record and hand the Falcons their second loss in eight outings.

    Tolentino fired 17 of his 22 points in the first half to give FEU a commanding 40-18 lead. He also grabbed 10 rebounds.

    Ron Dennison and Prince Orizu had eight points apiece.

    Despite the big victory, FEU coach Olsen Racela reiterated his call for consistency.

    "I'm still trying to understand college basketball. Hindi ko naiintindihan kung bakit how we can play that bad sa UP and then we play this great against Adamson," said Racela, whose team was coming off a loss to the Fighting Maroons. 

    "Hinahanap ko pa 'yung consistency from the players."

    Jerie Pingoy paced the Falcons with 13 points, making three 3-pointers, while Sean Manganti added 10 markers.
