RUBILEN Amit continued her top form on Sunday night as she beat Eujin Park of Korea, 8-1, to reach the semifinals of the Yalin Women’s World 10-Ball Championship at the Newport Mall in Pasay City.
Amit dominated Park to advance to the Final Four where she will face either Chen Tsai-pen of Chinese Taipei or Pao Xiaoting of China on Monday, moving closer to regaining the title she won in 2009.
Amit reached the quarterfinals after beating fourth seed Chieh Yu-chou of Chinese Taipei, 8-6, on Sunday night, arranging a match-up with Park.
Amit, who missed out on a bye in the round-of-16 after losing her final elimination game to Taiwanese Ho Yun Tan, easily hurdled her round-of-32 assignment by booting out the lone American bet in the knockout stage, Jennifer Barett, via an 8-2 victory.
