AJ Manas' quest for a world title will have to wait a little bit longer.
The Filipino teen star settled for a runner-up finish in the Qatar 10-Ball World Cup, bowing to Joshua Filler, 13-6, in the final early Friday morning at Ezdan Palace Hotel in Doha.
Manas fell behind early, as Filler seized the 10-3 lead, but the 19-year-old would rally back and strung three straight racks to make it a 10-6 affair.
But the German world champion was unperturbed, taking the next three to clinch the USD100,000 cash prize.
Still, it's the biggest accomplishment in Manas' young career in bringing home USD40,000 for the bridesmaid finish, being the lone Filipino to reach the semifinals.

This was also a huge bounce back after the 19 year old's horrific showing in this year's Reyes Cup and an early exit in the Philippine Open.

He fought back from a 0-3 hole to top Hsieh Chia Chen of Chinese Taipei, 11-8, in the quarterfinals before overcoming a 6-1 deficit to stun Daniel Maciol of Poland, 11-10, in the semis.
Defending champion Jonas Magpantay bowed out in the round of 16, together with Carlo Biado, Jundel Mazon, Rocky Tullao, and Jerico Bonus, while Miguel Salvilla made it to the quarters before losing to Filler, 11-7.
