CHEZKA Centeno, at only 13 years of age, has qualified for the Yalin Women’s World 10-Ball Championships which is set to begin on Monday at the Robinson’s Galleria in Quezon City.
This was confirmed by Charlie Williams, head of the organizer of the tournament Dragon Promotions.
Williams said that Centeno made it to the main draw after ruling one of the qualifying tournaments last Saturday night at the Star Billiards Center in Quezon City along with Taiwanese Wei Tzu-chien, Chan Ya-ting, Lin Hsiao-chi and Tan Ho-yun.
The Zamboanga-based Centeno has been competing in local tournaments including the recent Philippine National Games in Dumaguete City.
Centeno will join Rubilen Amit and Iris Ranola in the main draw. Both Amit and Ramnola were given outright berths in the world tournament.
Amit is the 2009 champion.
