PERFORM and “japorm” to minimize the risk of injury at the same time as Zamst holds a pocket 3x3 tournament on March 17 at The Upper Deck Sports Center.
Zamst, a brand of braces, supports, and care products that aim to help prevent injuries and improve athletic performance, is set to hold the one-day tournament where the company welcomes participants to learn more and test its products in a 3x3 setting.
Zamst, which features NBA center Steven Adams as its brand ambassador, put up a tournament that has four divisions, including the Competitive Division, which allows one former college varsity player and one player standing 6’0” or taller.
Each division is composed of 12 teams, separated into four groups of three teams, with the top team advancing to the semifinal round. Each team is assured of two games.
Tournament fee is P750, exclusive of VAT, and comes with two official Zamst | MNL Kingpin 3x3 sublimated tops, plus giveaways from sponsors.
Sanctioned by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas, the tournament also notably benefits the Philippines’ efforts to make its presence felt in the 3x3 world as all players will be registered in the official FIBA 3x3 app, where all stats will translate into Philippine 3x3 points.
The tournament, which will use Wilson Sports PH, the official game ball of the FIBA 3x3, has set a deadline of submission of requirements on March 8, Friday.
