ZAMBOANGA Valientes MLV will continue to field in an all-Zamboangueno roster for the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 to be played inside the bubble in Inspire Sports Academy in Calamba.
Former PBA player Rudy Lingganay will be joined by Gino Jumao-as, Darwin Cordero, Das Esa, RR De Leon, Med Salim and Jon Rebollos in the squad that will enter the bubble on Thursday.
“This is a big opportunity for Valientes to be able to play in the first professional 3x3 in the country and we want it to be more meaningful since we are the only team that will represent Zamboanga City with all players born from Zamboanga City,” said team manager Junnie Navarro.

The Valientes, the first-ever professional basketball team of the city, is eyeing a strong showing in the bubble following weeks of training. They had a decent showing last season in the Chooks to Go 3x3, with notable games against the league’s powerhouse such as Pasig Kings.
The Valientes, supported by entrepreneur/philanthropist Cory Navarro and Mike Venezuela, as well as Zamboanga City mayor Beng Climaco, also competed in the Melmac Cup, a tournament staged in order to add to the ranking points of the Philippines for its Olympic bid.
“The Zamboanguenos are very proud of this team since this is the only team that has full-blooded Zamboanguenos representing the province,” said coach Joseph Romarate.
