CHICAGO - With just five days to go before the 34th Dubai International Basketball Championship tips off, the Zamboanga Valientes have bolstered their line-up in the star-studded pocket tournament.
Per multiple sources, former NBA player Adonis Thomas could join the team as soon Tuesday.

A 6-foot-6, 232-lb forward, Thomas played briefly for the Philadelphia 76ers and the Orlando Magic before embarking on a whirlwind international career that took him to stops in Italy, Turkey, Germany, France, Kazakhstan, Slovenia, Poland, Israel and Mexico.
Thomas last played with the Macau Bears of the EASL where he averaged 18 points and 9.5 rebounds before deciding to join his Macau teammate, 7-foot-6 Samuel Deguara, for a run at Dubai.
Another significant addition to the Zamboanga roster is big man Ken Holmqvist, Ginebra's pick (12th overall) in the 2021 PBA draft. The Valientes stint could help Holmqvist in his bid to land a roster spot at TNT, where he is a practice player.
