YANKIE Haruna took charge as College of St. Benilde defeated Jose Rizal University, 104-83, on Saturday in the Filoil Flying V preseason tournament in San Juan.
Haruna scored 16 points in 22 minutes of action as the Blazers got off to a strong start in the tournament, while dealing the Bombers a second loss in as many games.
James Pasturan and Edward Dixon scores 13 each, while Clement Leutcheu had seven points and 12 rebounds for St. Benilde.
MJ de la Virgen and Karl Bordon had 15 points apiece for JRU.
Stefan Steinl added 10 points for the Bombers.
