    Thailand bounces back with 67-point drubbing of Myanmar in Seaba Championship

    WUTIPONG Dasom soared for an emphatic two-handed slam off a spin with to highlight Thailand’s 102-35 rout of Myanmar on Monday in the Seaba Championship at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

    The slam pushed Thailand 60 points ahead, 93-33, as Thailand scored its second win in three games while keeping Myanmar winless in three outings.

    Playing at a high level from the get-go, Dasom put up a dazzling performance of 40 points to go with 11 rebounds.

    Dasom dropped 13 points in the first half to set the tone for the Thais, who led by as many as 33 points, 47-14, in the second period before closing the first half with a 47-19 lead.

    Thailand continued to pounce on its helpless prey and took a 53-point advantage entering the final quarter.

    Aung Wana led Myanmar with 10 points and six rebounds but turned the ball over nine times.

    Tun Tun Sei Thu added eight markers.

    Thailand 102 — Dasom 40, Jaisanuk 15, Boonsern 13, Lodliang 10, Chanthachon 8, Ghogar 6, Sunthonsiri 5, Samerjai 3, P. Klahan 2.

    Myanmar 35 — Wana 10, Sei 8, Thein H 6, Kaung 3, Aung PW 2, Wai 2, Thant 2, Tin 2, Aung MP 0, Thein To 0, Zaya 0.

    Quarterscores: 28-11; 47-19; 78-25; 102-35.
