THE WNBL has given all interested draft applicants until tomorrow, Tuesday to submit their applications.
In a statement by the league, the WNBL said that heavy turnout of draftees has forced the league to move back the deadline from end of September to Tuesday at 5 p.m.
“We would like to inform everyone that the deadline for submission of draft applications is tomorrow September 22, 5:00pm. We were compelled to make this decision due to the heavy turnout of applications,” said the league in a statement.

The league added that there are already 683 draft applicants, which will eventually be evaluated before coming up with the final list.
The WNBL has implemented a draft system for its first season as a professional league which is targeting a January opening.
A draft combine is also slated to be held at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center in San Fernando, Pampanga before the actual draft scheduled next month.
“We would like to apologize in advance for those who will not be able to make it to this year's draft. Next year, we will accommodate more players as more teams are expected to join the league,” said WNBL executive vice president Rhose Montreal.
