SAN Juan leaned on a fiery second half to cruise to an 80-59 home victory over Zamboanga on Wednesday at the Filoil Flying V Arena.
John Wilson powered a huge second half after a slow start had the heavily favored home team tied with the Valientes at 28 after the first two quarters.
Wilson scattered 15 points in the second half, conspiring with CJ Isit and Jonard Clarito as the second unit created the separation for coach Randy Alcantara.
"Nung second half nag-huddle kami, wala kaming energy nung first half, so ako na mismo kumausap sa kanila na wala kaming energy," said Wilson.
"Simulan natin sa depensa para magdire-diretso at maibalik ang laro ng San Juan Knights," he added.
Wilson finished with 23 points and eight rebounds as the Knights improved to 6-1 for the tournament.
Larry Rodriguez had 11 points, nine rebounds, five assists and three steals while Mac Cardona also finished with 11.
Leo Avenido scored 14 points to lead the Valientes, who dropped to 4-4.
