WILL Gozum is slated to miss the remainder of the MPBL season due to a left knee injury.

The Quezon Huskers announced Gozum’s situation after he suffered the injury last Saturday during their match against Batangas. He was going for a steal with 55 seconds left in the game and awkwardly twisted his knee.
The former NCAA MVP had to be carried off by his teammates and not long after, the Huskers described the injury as “major,” necessitating immediate surgery.
PBA Draft loses some starpower
Gozum is seen as one of the top prospects in the upcoming PBA Draft after leading College of St. Benilde's rise as title contender in NCAA Seasons 98 and 99.
The former NCAA Juniors champion with Mapua High School who also played briefly for the University of the Philippines in the UAAP seniors even decided to skip the pros after his MVP season in 2022 for another go-round with the Blazers.
In between his two seasons in green and white, he signed with Quezon in the MPBL, but sustained a fractured finger in his first year. He played in only four games and averaged 10 points and 7.5 rebounds.
Gozum returned to the Huskers after his last collegiate season and before this latest injury, suited up in eight games with norms of 8.3 points and 4.6 rebounds.
