SAN Miguel shooting guard Terrence Romeo was a DNP (Did Not Play) in the team’s opening game in the East Asia Super League (EASL) Home and Away Season 2 against the Suwon KT Sonicboom at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The three-time PBA scoring champion was listed as part of the Beermen’s 12-man roster and actually sat on the bench of the team’s 87-81 loss to the Korean Basketball League runner-up on Wednesday night.

Apparently, the late submission of Romeo’s passport had something to do with the 32-year-old guard not suiting up for San Miguel.
“I think he had problem with his passport. I think one of the reasons yun kasi I think he submitted his passport just today,” said San Miguel coach Jorge Gallent.
“I think. But I’m not sure.”
Since the league has a Home and Away format, teams are required to submit the passport of their respective players who are part of their 12-man lineup.
Romeo was part of the 10 locals named to the roster of the Beermen for the start of the EASL’s new season along with CJ Perez, June Mar Fajardo, Marcio Lassiter, Chris Ross, Don Trollano, Jericho Cruz, Mo Tautuaa, Rodney Brondial, and Kris Rosales.
Left out were Vic Manuel, Jeron Teng, Simon Enciso, Kyt Jimenez, and rookie Avan Nava.
EJ Anosike and Quincy Miller served as San Miguel imports.
