PHILIPPINE basketball’s future definitely looks bright with Fil-Nigerian sensation AJ Edu already making waves overseas at his young age.
Playing for SGS College in Bristol in the Elite Academy Basketball League, the 17-year-old Edu leads the league in points (22.4), rebounds (15.8) and blocks (3.4) after five games. His impressive stats even as the 6-foot-10 teen towers over the competition remained impressive enough that Edu got ranked third among high school prospects in the class of 2018, according to Hoops Rank UK.
In YouTube emerged proof of how good he has become with his highlights in the EABL so far along with some clips from his stint for the Philippine team in 2017 Fiba 3x3 Under-18 World Cup in China.
In the video, Edu showcased his scoring skills from off-the-dribble drives to long range bombs, his handles, his court vision with some crisp passes, as well as his defense with well-timed swats.
