Suiting up for Pilipinas Microsmith Elite Homegrown, the young Carpio quickly became one of the tournament’s most talked-about players, not just for his surname, but also for his strong game.
Netizens buzzed, as Carpio showcased his scoring prowess throughout the tournament, highlighted by a 32-point explosion against Fil-Euro Nation Select.
He followed it up with 25 points vs. NABA Canada and added 13 more in the semifinals against Tagaytay Pride, proving he could deliver the goods.

While he was held scoreless in the finals against Fil-Am Nation Select, his body of work was enough to propel Pilipinas Microsmith Elite Homegrown to a silver-medal finish - and more importantly, capture the attention of fans online.
Manila Live is the supplementary invitational tournament for the NBTC National Finals, or the Philippine national under-19 championship.
Carpio also played in the Junior MPBL pocket league national finals, representing his hometown Davao, where his mother and grandfather former President Rodrigo Duterte served as city mayors.
Now, in a tournament designed to spotlight the country’s brightest young talents, the son of the Philippine VP made sure he was going to make a name for himself.
