SAMBOY De Leon scored 14 points, Mon Abundo added 12 and Centro Escolar University continued its unbeaten run with a 64-51 win over Lyceum in the quarterfinals of the Filoil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup on Monday at The Arena in San Juan.
Rodrigue Ebondo had 11 points, 11 rebounds, and two blocks as the Scorpions sustained their winning ways all the way to the playoffs.
CEU, which won all its six games in Group C preliminaries, will face the winner of Wednesday’s San Beda-National University tiff in the semifinal round.
Azez Mbomiko finished with 12 points while Dexter Zamora had 11 points for the eighth-seeded Pirates.
