BUSINESS executive Bong Tan collapsed during a recreational league game on Saturday afternoon at Gatorade Hoops Center in Shaw.
In a video obtained by Spin.ph, the UE Red Warriors coach was in the middle of the game for Philippine Airlines when he slowly made his way to the bench and eventually dropped.
Teammates and officials were quick to rush the PAL Holdings president out of the court.
PAL was leading Exile, 35-28, in the Pinoyliga Cup Finals when the untoward incident happened at the 2:56 mark of the second quarter.
In a statement provided to the media, the Tan family shared that the 50-year-old is now in stable condition.
"He has been admitted to a nearby hospital where he remains in stable condition. He is currently under observation and will undergo a series of diagnostic tests," the statement read.
Sources, however, said Tan is still unconscious and confined in the ICU, where he is undergoing a battery of tests.
