JOHN Lymon Reed scored 19 points as the PATTS Seahorses beat the Lyceum of Alabang Sharks, 84-76, in the 8th Universities and Colleges of Luzon Athletic Association basketball tournament recently at the Marikina Sports Complex.
PATTS was coming off losses to Jose Rizal University and National University in the National Collegiate Championship but proved too much for its rival in its mother league.
Reed had 10 points in the third quarter for the Seahorses as they broke away from a 43-43 deadlock.
“The boys were eager to get ahead after their back-to-back losses in the PCCL. We had lapses early but they were able to find their form in the third period,” said PATTS coach Renzie Aranzaso.
Meanwhile, Dominic Formenta scored 14 points as the Colegio de San Lorenzo downed Philippine Nautical and Technological College, 82-54.
