LA Salle's Ramil Tero and Marvin Lee of University of Santo Tomas were suspended for one game after sparking the bench-clearing incident on Sunday in the Filoil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup.

Tero and Lee traded punches infront of the La Salle bench with 20 seconds to go and the game all but decided, emptying both benches.

La Salle drubbed UST, 109-81 to improve to a 2-1 record and keep the Tigers winless in three outings.

Both camps were already informed about the ban through letters sent by league commissioner Ato Badolato to the two schools, copies of which were furnished

Tero will miss La Salle's match against Lyceum on May 19, while UST will take on Perpetual without Lee on the same day.

The letter made no mention of further punishment on other players.

Lee claimed in a chat with that it was Tero who threw the first punch and he simply retaliated.

Witnesses also claimed Lee was on the receving end of Gabe Capacio's kick, but Ayo said such thing didn't happen.

Ayo later expressed his disappointment over Tero's actions in the brawl that also resulted in La Salle's Ricci Rivero, Santi Santillan and Capacio getting thrown out.

Also getting banished were UST's Carlos Escalambre, Christian Garcia, Jordan Sta. Ana, Jeepy Faundo, Zach Huang, Edwin Cano and Wendell de Guzman.

"Sinabihan ko si Tero after ng laro na you always have to use your head. Whatever you do, dapat may purpose e. That purpose should be geared towards our goal, which is to win the game," he said.

"As much as possible ayaw mo yung mga unecessary na ginagawa na makakasira ng laro."
