UNIVERSITY of the Philippines head coach Bo Perasol lauded his team efforts despites being "totally outplayed" by title favorite La Salle, giving the Maroons  passing mark despite the 71-89 defeat.

"I think that La Salle, really, there was no question we got outplayed totally by La Salle," Perasol said. "But in terms of us  parang gumawa ng paraan para mapigil iyon, I think it was passing for me. Our effort is passing for me."

Perasol said the Maroons knew coming to the game that the Archers will be tough to beat.

"I think it was for us to really exceed what we can do to beat La Salle but that wasn't our agenda in the first place," he said. "Our agenda really was to prepare ourselves for the games that we can win."

Now at the bottom of the pack, UP hopes to do better in its next outing against University of Santo Tomas.

"And what we need to do is just to focus on the games, especially against UST. That's our next game and I think we can," Perasol said. "We need to find a way to find a better chance against UST."
