GILAS Pilipinas kept the Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) Generals winless with an 82-69 win in the FilOil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup on Tuesday at the San Juan Arena.

Showing no sign of fatigue after playing in Ateneo's win over rival La Salle, Blue Eagles guard Matt Nieto topscored with 15 points as the cadets finished the tournament with a 4-5 (win-loss) record.

Head coach Jong Uichico, however, had reservations about the cadets' performance.

“We just won because we are better as individuals, not better as a team. They can’t just rely on their individual talents during games,” said Uichico.

Ken Tuffin had a solid game with 13 markers and five rebounds while Ricci Rivero had 10 points and four rebounds, a day after apologizing for yelling at a fan in a viral video.

Jerome Garcia led the Generals with 15 points as JP Maguliano added 14 pointd and 13 assists.
