Ateneo Blue Eaglets remain unbeaten after 12 games, secure top seeding in Final Four

MIKE Nieto had 21 points and 13 rebounds as the Ateneo Blue Eaglets clinched the No. 1 seeding in the Final Four with an 83-66 win over University of the Philippines Integrated School on Saturday in the UAAP Season 77 juniors basketball tournament at the Blue Eagle Gym.

The double-double effort of Nieto helped the Blue Eaglets score their 12th win in as many outings.

The Blue Eaglets are also two wins away from sweeping the elimination round and gaining an automatic berth in the finals.

Meanwhile, Adamson drubbed De La Salle-Zobel, 81-61, to force a three-way tie for third place.

James Pasturan had 19 points, Gerald Fernandez added 16, and Frederick Tungcab finished with 15 points and 13 rebounds for the Baby Falcons, who are now tied with Far Eastern University-Diliman and De La Salle-Zobel with 7-5 win-loss records.

The Baby Tamaraws defeated University of Santo Tomas, 57-48, to also win their seventh game of the season.

Mark Dyke finished with 23 points and 19 rebounds as National University beat University of the East, 75-52, to remain in second place with a 9-3 slate.
