ATENEO is one win away from a sweep and outright finals berth with a 101-77 thumping of winless University of the East on Wednesday in the UAAP Season 77 juniors basketball tournament at Blue Eagle Gym.

Mike Nieto had 19 points and 11 rebounds, while his twin Matt Nieto had 18 and 11 as the Blue Eaglets scored their 13th victory in as many games.

The Blue Eaglets need a win over defending champion National University on Saturday to gain an outright finals seat and a thrice-to-beat edge.

Meanwhile, Adamson won its fourth straight game, beating the Bullpups, 74-64.

James Pasturan had 18 points for the Baby Falcons, who have scored three of their last four wins at the expense of Final Four squads to improve their win-loss record to 8-5 and remain in joint third.

Adamson recently defeated Far Eastern University-Diliman and De La Salle-Zobel.

NU remained in second place with a 9-4 slate.

Aljun Melecio had 19 points as De La Salle-Zobel beat University of Santo Tomas, 66-53, for an 8-5 win-loss slate.

FEU beat University of the Philippines Integrated School, 60-52, to also improve to 8-5.
