ATENEO might be flying high after claiming its eighth win in as many games in the UAAP Season 80 but Thirdy Ravena is keeping his feet grounded.

Talks of the Blue Eagles' surge are continuously growing as they continue to dominate the competition.

But the do-it-all forward warned his teammates not to be satisfied with this feat and just continue to keep pushing.

"When you think about the standing na as it is, 8-0 ka, wala kang makukuha sa 8-0 kasi next game, it’s either 8-1 or 9-0. So you have to have that next game mentality, that you have to prepare, you can’t be complacent," said Ravena who finished with 15 points and nine rebounds in their 71-59 win over Adamson on Saturday.

"Just ‘cause you won the game, that doesn’t mean you can slack off. We have another game on Wednesday, we have to… we’re gonna enjoy this win, it was a good win for us," he added.

Ravena knows that as they win, the targets on their backs will just get bigger and bigger.

That's why for Ateneo fans, it's just refreshing to see their squad continuing to improve and their repeat victory over Adamson is a testament on Ateneo's continuous improvement.

"It’s a new round, hindi pwedeng same lang yung preparation namin dun sa ginawa namin nung first round. Kasi lahat naman ng teams na yan, first round, naga-adjust yan," said Ravena.

"We still have to work hard, we can’t be complacent."
