Thirdy Ravena quick to atone for letdown against NU by letting game come to him
Thirdy Ravena scores 17 against FEU after a two-point game against NU. Jaime Campos

THIRDY Ravena found his range early, calmly making baskets and finding teammates, much different from the tense outing just three days ago.

Ravena came back strong after scoring only two points in a loss to National University, scoring a team-high 17 points in a 76-71 win over Far Eastern University, the Blue Eagles’ second in three games in UAAP Season 79.

Ravena was on attack mode from the get-go, making 10 points in the first half to set the tone for the Blue Eagles.

Ravena said he simply tried to stick to the Blue Eagles system.

“Siguro ’yung mentality ko today, relax lang,” said Ravena. “Kasi once you stick to the system, the game is going to come to you.”

“I feel that I just have to do what I have to do. If we need aggression on offense, that’s what I tried to do.”

Ravena, however, noted the win was not about his bounce-back game alone as his teammates also stepped up for the match.

“I tried to find my open teammates. Everyone contributed naman. My teammates were there and they delivered the ball pretty well,” said Ravena.
