DE LA Salle continued to display ruthless form this season, overpowering University of Santo Tomas, 100-62, on Wednesday in the 79th UAAP seniors basketball tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Firing on all cylinders, the Green Archers opens lead as high as 41 points against the hapless Tigers and won their third straight game with one of the biggest winning margins in the league's modern era.

Ben Mbala contributed 18 points and 16 rebounds for the Green Archers while Jeron Teng added 13 points in the wire-to-wire victory that deflated the morale of the Tigers.

La Salle also provided the afternoon's highlight play when rookie Ricci Rivero converted a spectacular two-hand reverse dunk to cap the runaway victory.

By the end of the third period, La Salle was already way ahead, 73-49.

Renzo Subido had 18 points while Jon Sheriff scored 11 points but the Growling Tigers were weighed down by 40 turnovers while trying to solve La Salle's full-court press.
