RHAYYAN Amsali no longer part of the National University Bullpups.

Amsali confirmed he will be transferring to another school soon and his move has the blessing of the NU team.

The 17-year-old Amsali has yet to divulge which school he will be moving to, saying his focus is with the Batang Gilas Under-18 pool that is looking to qualify for the Fiba Under-18 Asian Championship from August 5 to 11 in Bangkok.

“Focus po muna ako sa Gilas practice. Mabait naman po ‘yung mga NU coaches sa akin,” said the 6-foot-3 Amsali.

A source said La Salle Greenhills is one of the schools that are interested in Amsali.

In UAAP Season 80, Amsali was second in scoring for the Bullpups with an average of 12.4 points, led the team in rebounding with 9.3 per game and second-best in steals with 1.5.

Amsali also led the Bullpups win the Season 78 crown and is a consistent member of the NBTC and Slam All-Star teams in recent seasons.

Amsali was also part of the Philippine team that competed in last year’s Fiba 3x3 Under-18 World Cup in Chengdu, China together with AJ Edu, Juan Gomez de Liano, and Encho Serrano.
