NATIONAL University bucked the ejection of coach Pat Aquino in the fourth quarter to beat Ateneo, 60-49, on Saturday to remain unbeaten in the UAAP Season 80 women's basketball tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena.

It was the Lady Bulldogs’ 11th victory in as many games this season and 59th straight win overall.

Aquino was thrown out with 3:38 to play after being assessed two consecutive technical fouls, with NU only leading by five points, 49-44.

The Lady Bulldogs ended the game on a 9-0 run, with Rhena Itesi scoring five in the final 1:16.

Love Sto. Domingo came through with 26 points and 23 rebounds as University of the East nipped Far Eastern University in overtime, 63-61, to tie University of Sto. Tomas in second place at 9-2.

The Lady Eagles were still very much in the game, 49-51, on a Jollina Go floater but could not buy a bucket late, allowing the Lady Bulldogs to pull away.

Congo's Itesi had 17 points and 13 rebounds while Ria Nabalan added 12 points, six boards, two assists and two steals for NU.

Despite FEU’s loss, its sixth in 11 games, the Lady Tamaraws remained in fourth spot. FEU is still ahead of Adamson University by a full game (4-7).
