Balanced NU attack dims Adamson Final Four hopes in UAAP juniors basketball

NATIONAL University beat Adamson, 73-62, on Wednesday in the UAAP Season 80 juniors basketball at the Blue Eagle Gym.

Winderlich Coyoca produced 14 points as Michael Malonzo, Rhayyan Amsali, and RJ Minerva each had double-doubles for NU, which upped its record to 11-2.

The loss was crucial for Adamson (6-7), which is battling University of Santo Tomas for the fourth and final spot in the Final Four.

Malonzo had 13 points and 14 rebounds, Amsali had 11 points and 10 rebounds, and Minerva tallied 11 points and 12 rebounds in a winning effort by NU.

The Bullpups, who have already clinched the twice-to-beat advantage in the Final Four last weekend, will be facing Ateneo in the final game of the eliminations on Sunday at the Blue Eagle Gym.

Joem Sabandal finished with 22 points, seven rebounds, and six assists for the Baby Falcons.
