DE La Salle looks to get back on the winning track as the reigning champion faces Far Eastern University on Wednesday at the start of the second round of the UAAP Season 80 basketball tournament at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

The Green Archers and the Tamaraws tangle at 4 p.m.

La Salle, joint second with Adamson at 5-2, is eager to bounce back from a loss to league-leading Ateneo (7-0).

Focus will be on MVP race leader Ben Mbala, who came up with decent numbers of 18 points and 13 rebounds against Ateneo but way off his 39 and 15 against University of the East.

Meanwhile, the Tamaraws are also out to bounce back after ending the first round with a loss to Adamson.

FEU, however, will be playing without its second leading scorer Arvin Tolentino, who was suspended by the league for one game for two unsportsmanlike fouls during the match against the Falcons.

University of the Philippines and University of Sto. Tomas clash in the 2 p.m. match.

The Maroons enter the match tied for sixth with National University at 3-4 and hope to end a three-game skid against the Growling Tigers, who are still winless after seven matches.

State U hopes Jun Manzo will be able to play against Santo Tomas after sustaining an ankle injury on Sunday against NU.
