SAN Sebastian Staglets guard and national youth team member Lorenzo Navarro is leaning toward joining De La Salle in the UAAP, sources said.

Navarro will in fact be joining the Green Archers squad in a pocket tournament in Dumaguete City, even if no official commitment has been made, the source added.

Once an official commitment is made, Navarro will become the second Batang Gilas member to join the Green Archers in time for next season.

The 5-8 Navarro suited up for the national team in the 2014 Fiba Under-17 World Championship in Dubai with Jollo Go, one of the new members of the Green Archers out of Hope Christian High School.

Ironically, Navarro will be making a move totally opposite to what his father, former pro Nandy, did during his career.

The elder Navarro was a former high school player of La Salle Greenhills who went on to play for San Sebastian's multi-titled teams in the eighties.

Lorenzo Navarro averaged 10.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.3 steals in his final year with the Staglets in NCAA Season 90 where he helped the team notch a 10-8 win-loss record - not enough to make the Final Four.

Aside from Go, the Green Archers already have also gained a commitment from former San Beda Red Cub Joshua Caracut.
