La Salle confirms Juno Sauler resignation, forms search committee to pick next coach

DE La Salle is set to form a search committee for a new head coach after the school confirmed the resignation of Juno Sauler shortly after the Green Archers failed to reach the Final Four in UAAP Season 78.

In an official statement, La Salle expressed its appreciation for the services of Sauler, who guided the Green Archers to the UAAP title in his first season in charge in 2013.

The school said Sauler filed his resignation almost a week after the Green Archers suffered a shock 68-71 loss to Far Eastern University to miss out on a stint in the Final Four. broke the news on Sauler's resignation on Monday.

Despite winning the title in 2013, Sauler failed to lead La Salle to a Final Four berth in Season 78 as he ended up with a 6-8 win-loss slate.

De La Salle University announces the resignation of Green Archers Men's Basketball Head Coach Juno Sauler. He filed his resignation today, 24 November 2015.

The University extends its appreciation to Coach Juno for his years of dedicated service to the team. With his able leadership, he orchestrated the Green Archers' outstanding performances that gave DLSU championship titles from the 76th UAAP Season, the 2013 PCCL tournament, and the 2014 FilOil tournament.

The University will form a search committee for a new head coach and will keep the Lasallian community as well as the public informed.
