KOBE Paras made it to the all-tournament of the San Fernando Valley Invitational Championship after Cathedral High won the title with a come-from-behind, 65-63, win over Chaminade on Tuesday in California (Wednesday Manila time).

Paras made it to the elite list of the tournament after a scintillating performance in the invitational tournament that saw him score 30 points in the semifinal round.

The young Filipino cager, however, scored just 11 points in limited action in the final after being saddled with four fouls. The Cathedral Phantoms leaned on Milan Acquaah’s game-winning triple to claim the crown.

Acquaah's basket capped off a 9-0 finish for the Phantoms.

"It was a big-time shot," Cathedral coach William Middlebrooks told Los Angeles Times reporter Eric Sondheimer.

The son of two-time PBA MVP Benjie Paras had a big game in the semifinal, scoring 30 points to help the Phantoms advance.

Paras struggled early, the LA Times reported, after getting called for two quick fouls and Chaminade took advantage of his absence.

Paras returned late in the fourth and sparked Cathedral High after trailing, 63-56, with two minutes left in the game.

“Great win! Thank you to everyone who watched! & a big s/o to Chaminade and the chaminade SS! I hope my school has a SS section like that,” wrote Paras on his Twitter account.
