KAI Sotto of Ateneo is set to receive the Rookie of the Year honors in the UAAP Season 79 juniors basketball tournament, the crowning glory to a season that has seen the 6-9 prodigy make a big leap in his development as a player.

The 14-year-old son of former PBA player Ervin Sotto will formally be awarded the individual award before Game Two of the UAAP juniors finals between Far Eastern University and National University, the league said in a statement.
