A DAY after announcing he will no longer play for National University, Jordan Bartlett has attracted interest from De La Salle and University of Santo Tomas, sources told

Bartlett took to Twitter on Monday night to bid the Bulldogs goodbye and is now set to trigger a tug-of-war between two schools which just recently figured in a high-profile coaching switch.

The UST Tigers are set to embark on a rebuilding program following the arrival of a new coach in Aldin Ayo, who led La Salle to a championship and two finals appearances in two seasons in charge.

Ayo, 40, will be taking over a UST side that won just one game and finished last in Season 80 under Boy Sablan, who was sacked at the end of the campaign.

Given full control of the UST program, Ayo, sources said, has started consolidating his coaching staff after longtime assistants Louie Gonzalez and Glenn Capacio stayed put at La Salle.

Bartlett should be a welcome boost for the UST backcourt.

The 20-year-old Fil-American guard averaged 5.5 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.3 assists for the Bulldogs last season before he made a decision to leave NU.
