JOHN Lloyd Clemente is disappointed to end his high school career with a loss, but said Far Eastern University may have been more deserving of the title as National University fell short.

“Hindi ko po alam,” said Clemente when asked what went wrong as the Baby Tamaraws completed a sweep of the UAAP juniors finals.

“Siguro mas deserving ‘yung FEU sa amin kaya nakuha nila ang championship. Ginawa naman namin ang lahat ng magagawa namin pero kulang pa rin po.”

The 19-year-old Clemente finishes an impressive high school with one title and back-to-back selections to the Mythical Five.

But Clemente said those achievements won’t soothe the pain of losing the crown in his final season.

“Masakit po kasi last year ko na, hindi pa ako nag-champion. Masakit po sa pakiramdam,” said Clemente after emerging from the gloomy NU dugout.

Clemente tried to carry the Bullpups in forcing Game Two, scoring 26 points, but it was simply not enough.

“Eto ‘yung pinakamasakit kasi last year ko na, tapos ganito hindi pa kami nag-champion,” he said.
