JOEL Cagulangan, this early, has officially committed to play for De La Salle in the UAAP even though he still has one year left with La Salle Greenhills in the NCAA.

La Salle coach Louie Gonzalez confirmed Cagulangan has committed to the Green Archers following a meeting with La Salle team patron Eduardo 'Danding' Cojuangco.

A photo of the meeting with Cojuangco has already surfaced online.

Even though Cagulangan has committed to play for the Green Archers, Gonzalez said he will still finish his high school campaign with the LSGH Greenies in the NCAA this season.

Cagulangan captured the NCAA Season 93 Finals MVP award and will be looking to guide the Greenies to back-to-back league crowns this year before moving to the De La Salle seniors team.

Following the recruitment of Cagulangan, Gonzalez said La Salle is already looking at aligning the college program with its two high school basketball teams.

"We are working already sa alignment ng La Salle GH and soon with La Salle Zobel with our college program," said Gonzalez.
