JJAY Alejandro basically did everything as he tried tow National University, saying he had no idea he was closing in on a triple double.

The graduating combo guard said he just felt the need to do it all when nobody showed grit and willingness to fight.

He finished with 16 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds but the Bulldogs suffered their fourth loss in the last five outings.

"This game, wala. Walang lumaban ngayon," he said.

"Yung start namin yung pangit dun. Di namin nasunod yung gameplan. Yung iba sa amin, out of focus, yung starting five," he added.

Import Issa Gaye was the only other NU player who had a double digit score, delivering 20. while Jordan Bartlett added eight points and Matt Salem scored seven.

Two rebounds shy of getting his first triple-double, Alejandro said he didn't know that he was up for an impressive individual feat but was just basically doing everything to get his team back in it.

"Di ko alam. Seryoso? Wala akong idea," Alejandro said when asked about his near triple-double. "Nasa isip ko lang is habulin, manalo. Wala e. Kinulang."

He says he isn't pleading for big numbers from his teammates, and that all he's asking for is for the Bulldogs to show a little bit more fight.

"Siguro, tulad naman ng hinahanap ni coach Jamike sa amin, lumaban lang kami. Manalo, matalo, we don't care about the results basta makita ni coach Jamike na lumaban kami."

Amid the losses, Alejandro still keeps a positive mindset with six games left in the elimination round.

"Knowing coach Jamike (Jarin), di siya nagpa-panic talaga. He takes the blame always pagnatalo kami. We know we have six games pa, di pwedeng ako yung unang mawalan ng pag-asa," he said.

"I want na matapos yung season ko na magkakahiwalay kami sa loob. On Monday, we have to practice."
