LA Salle snapped its two-game skid with an 88-71 win over Adamson on Sunday in the UAAP Season 78 men’s basketball tournament at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

Jeron Teng had 18 points, nine rebounds, and five assists, while Thomas Torres added 16 for the Green Archers, who evened their record to 2-2.

Joshua Torralba helped spark an early surge for the Green Archers, who sank two triples in the first quarter that saw the Taft-based squad move ahead, 24-10.

La Salle coach Juno Sauler, however, said the Green Archers still have a lot to work on in their game.

“We still have a lot of things to improve. We gave up too many offensive rebounds, turned the ball over several times. A lot of things to address,” said Sauler.

La Salle’s lead swelled to as many as 26 points, 56-30, to frustrate Adamson, whose head coach Mike Fermin was ejected for complaining to the referees.

Cameroonian import Papi Sarr had 18 points and 16 rebounds for the Falcons, who remained winless in four games.
