JERON Teng looks forward to a ‘challenging’ series against Far Eastern University in the UAAP Final Four as the reigning champions seek to return in this year’s Finals.

The Green Archers clinched a virtual ‘best-of-three’ affair in the semis against the Tamaraws on Saturday after a 68-56 win over National University.

La Salle plays FEU in a playoff for the twice-to-beat advantage in the Final Four next week.

Even though it won over the Tamaraws in last season’s Final Four,  the Archers still have a mountain to climb as FEU swept La Salle in the two teams head-to-head encounters this season.

“Siguro mas exciting ito and more challenging. People think FEU is our jinx so it’s something for us to prepare for,” said Teng.

The third year guard finished with nine points, five rebounds, and four assists in La Salle’s win over NU, although his output was lesser than the previous games.

Almond Vosotros, Arnold Van Opstal, and Norbert Torres picked up the cudgels on offense for La Salle to score the win.

Teng said FEU’s team-oriented play is something the Archers must have to be prepared, with Mike Tolomia and Mac Belo leading the charge.

“They play well as a team especially with FEU being led by Mike Tolomia. They are all talented,” said Teng.
