LA SALLE star Jeron Teng is determined to have a memorable final year with the school, both on the basketball court and in the classroom.

Recently, Teng accomplished something basketball student-athletes seldom achieve in school, becoming a first honor and a Dean’s Lister.

Teng said he became a first honor and Dean’s Lister for the first time in the first trimester with La Salle prior to the opening of Season 79 of the UAAP. He got a GPA within the 3.5-mark, which is good enough to take home an award.

Teng, who is taking up business management, said it's his goal to be a better student now that he is in the final season of his basketball career with La Salle.

“Siyempre last year ko na rin. Gusto ko rin ‘yun (Dean’s List). First time ko mag-DL eh,” Teng said in a brief interview.

The burly cager has in fact embraced the challenge of trying to maintain his high grades and ending his UAAP career with a championship.

“Last year ko na, hopefully championship,” Teng said.
